How to cancel your Netflix account

If you're looking to cancel your Netflix subscription and delete your account completely, you've come to the right place. Below, you'll find directions on how to delete your Netflix account on your desktop and on your phone.

How to delete your Netflix account on desktop

Step 1: Log in to your Netflix account.

You can do this through Netflix's website.

Step 2: Click on your profile icon, then click it again in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Select "Account" from the drop-down menu that appears.

This will take you to your account page.

Step 4: Once there, click "Cancel Membership."

Step 5: Click "Finish cancellation" to cancel your account.

Your account will be canceled at the end of the current billing period, and your information will be automatically deleted 10 months after the account has been canceled.

If you choose to restart your account within 10 months after cancellation, you will still be able to access your old profile and viewing preferences.

If you want to delete your account immediately, contact [email protected] from the email address used for your Netflix account.

How to delete your Netflix account on your phone

You cannot delete your Netflix account directly in the app, but you can delete it from your phone's browser.

Step 1: Open the Netflix app and log into your account.

Step 2: Click on the menu in the top left corner of the screen.

It's the three horizontal lines.

Step 3: Select "Account" from the drop-down menu that appears.

This will take you to your account page.

Step 4: Once there, scroll past your membership details and click "Cancel Membership."

Step 5: Click "Finish cancellation" to cancel your account.

As with canceling on desktop, your account will be canceled at the end of the current billing period, and your information will be automatically deleted 10 months after the account has been canceled.
